Diary

12.10.09 (double period) - I finished of our first scene which was the walking home scene. Then we started on the scene where she is walking up the stairs to her room.
14.10.09 (During Lunch) - Chloe and I went to the library and completed 4 scenes in our spare time. We also planned the sounds and movement that will be in the first and second scene. We worked extremely hard and concentrated all lunch.
15.10.09 - We completed 3 scenes and planned motion and added sprites to scene 3 and upwards. We concentrated very hard.
20.10.09- Ashley made 2 sprites and wrote down the script and Chloe finished off the scenes and created the main character for the story. We worked really hard during these 55 minutes
21.10.09 - (Double Period) We worked hard to put together the final touches to the backgrounds and characters. Then we made a start on the voices.
26.10.09 - (At Home) Ashley started to work out the voices and how to make them. She also checked that all the backgrounds are in working order.
27.10.09 - Chloe and Ashley started on the voices and put them together.
29.10.09 - We touched up the voices and finished them off. There was a small problem because the media was very fuzzy and croaky.
30.10.09 - We got help from Kathryn Heilbronn to start on the movement. It was a big challenge.
30.10.09 - (At Home) Chloe called me up and we tried 4 times to send the project but it was simply too big.
02.11.09 - We have turned the background into sprites and added some movement. We also decided that we will do dialogue instead of media.

Evaluation 02.11.09

Chloe and I started by planning out what we were going to do. It took 2 lessons because we had to think very hard and plan carefully so it would not be too easy or hard. After the 2 lessons of planning we started by drawing the backgrounds. First of all we had a background staple color and then we went back to our scene planning and saw what we needed for that scene. The first scene is the most important because it tells the story from the beginning and end. Later on during the project we realized we needed a title page so we added that in. Our project is called buttercups boyfriend. Each scene has to be unique so it can contain interest in the audience and ourselves. Shortly after we touched up the scenes we started on the characters. Our characters are painted so we spent about half a lesson and home time on drawing them. There are 3 characters in the animation. The main is called buttercup. It is a story about a girl who goes on to messenger trying to message a boy that she has a crush on from her school. A stalker hacks i nto her account willing to meet buttercup. Then she walks to the park where she wants to meet "Hamish Russo" from her school. She ends up falling in danger where she meets the stalker. She then runs home and calls up a councilor where she will discuss what she has been through. You also have to add movement which was quite a struggle for us and we got help for that. We also added media and voices. But then realized that we had to do a lot to finally get the voices in shape so we changed to dialogue. Chloe and I are almost done with our project its been hard but we got there in the end. I love working with Chloe because we both have such great ideas and put them together to make even better ones.
